Cyprus – New growth on the sales properties

At the market, new growth of sales properties was illustrated in November, in accordance with the new elements that the Land registry announced.

The sales documents that deposited in November have increased by 21% to 446 units comparing to 370 in November 2014.

In October the sales properties increased by 23% annually.

At the market there are expectations of climate improvement following the government moves for reducing the transfer fees, the promotion of planning incentives and the issuance of title deeds for the enclaved properties buyers, while positively contributing and reducing bank rates.

In accordance with the elements of Land registry, a growth is prominent in November in all cities excluding Nicosia city.

During the period between January until November 2015, the sales of properties amounted to 4,439 units from 4,073 in the corresponding last year period showing an increase of 9%.

The biggest incline reaches 32% record in Larnaka city with the sales documents amounting to 958 from 727 the first eleven months of 2014.

In Limassol the sales are increased by 8% reaching to 1.397 from 1.290 while 3% increase is noted in Paphos city.

In Nicosia and Famagusta the sales of properties illustrate stability.

Regarding the sales documents that deposited in the Land Registry with foreign buyers in November, they amounted to 138 from 93 in November 2014 recording an increase of 48.4%. During the period between January- November 2015, they amounted to 1.214 compared to 1.096 last year.
