Saint Lucia is an island nation located in the Atlantic Ocean, east of the Caribbean Sea. Partly located on the Lesser Antilles, the territory is located north of the Saint Vincent and Grenadines archipelago, north-west of Barbados and south of Martinique.
The volcanic island of Saint Lucia has more mountains than most islands in the Caribbean. The highest mountain is Mount Gimie at 950m (3,120 feet) above sea level. Two other mountains with the same name, Piston, have created the most famous symbol of the island nation. These two mountains are located between the cities of Soufriere and Choiseul to the west of St. Lucia. The island nation is also one of the few islands in the world with active volcanoes.
The two Pitons are two World Heritage-listed volcanoes in St. Lucia. The two mountains are connected by the Piton Mitan range. The two Piton mountains are likely the most photographed sites on the island. The larger of the two Piton twin mountains is called Gros Piton and the smaller is called Petit Piton.
St. Lucia is a country bustling with entertainment, from Rodney Bay, with restaurants that are incredibly highly regarded for the quality of food and dishes, to tranquil, majestic, natural views that create enjoyable experiences for other travellers.
Saint Lucia welcomes visitors and investors to live, work and contribute to the development of this beautiful island nation.
