In 2016, President Emmanuel Macron named the program to attract talented people to France to do business and live under a French tech visa, formerly known as Passport Talent. The policy of “France Technology Visa” has contributed to attracting foreign investment and global talent to the country.
Program requirements:
- Establish a start-up business in France with a minimum capital of €195,000; or
- Set up a company or make a capital investment of at least €300,000, or buy 10% share in a company in France.
- The investor must have at least five years of experience in the relevant investment field, or hold a Master’s degree, and have a start-up draft in order to establish and operate a viable economic enterprise in France.
