In general, there are 3 main ways to apply for US permanent residence:
- Through family,
- Through Employment, and
- Through Refugee or Asylee status
Therefore, buying a house as an individual in the US and apply for permanent residence is NOT subject to any immigration categories of the US government.
EB-5 Investor immigration program https://www.uscis.gov/…/eb-5-immigrant-investor-program is part of Employment category. EB-5 program currently have the most number of applications with the USCIS.
